MultiView Tab

Multiviews, refer to the capability of displaying multiple video sources simultaneously on a single display or multiple displays. In order to create a multiview, a layout must be created, and then a configuration must be created and assigned to the layout.

In DisplayNet, multiviews consist of a layout, which defines the size and location of the streams to be shown, and a configuration, which defines the sources that are to be assigned to the display surfaces within the associated layout.

Once a configuration is created, it is shown as a virtual device in the source Device List, and may be routed to any DisplayNet receiver in the same manner as a regular transmitter device.

 

One of the most important factors in designing a multiview layout is the bandwidth used by the configuration. Be sure to read the section on bandwidth management before designing a multiview layout. An improperly designed multiview layout can cause oversubscription, which will cause the receiver to stop displaying all video.
